Insomniac Events will bring its Day Trip Festival to San Pedro in 2021

Though Beverly Hills-based Insomniac Events has found success in the virtual world of entertainment amid the coronavirus pandemic, the concert and festival production company is optimistic about the return of live concert events in 2021.

Insomniac Events announced Monday, Aug. 31, that it will debut a new, 21-and-older only festival dubbed Day Trip on July 3, 2021 at Pier 46 at the Los Angeles Waterfront in San Pedro. The open-air venue will feature a slew of house music played across multiple stages from 2 p.m.-midnight.

There will also be craft cocktails, gourmet food trucks and the event’s signature Day Trip fishbowls full of cocktails for sale.

Though the lineup has not been announced, Insomniac is putting a limited number of passes on sale at noon Thursday, Sept. 3, via insomniac.com/daytrip. Early bird fans will get a special deal for $39.99 through Tuesday, Sept. 8. After that, prices will increase. There’s also a payment plan with a down payment of $5.
