Why Allah Tells Us What to Wear

People say “Don’t tell me what to wear, who are you to tell me what I should wear?” We need to advise each other, but in a nice way. We were created by the Creator and we will return to Him. Allah (swt) tells us what to wear in the Quran. When we dress the way He has told us we are preparing for our life hereafter. Why does Allah tell us what to wear? Allah knows there is benefit in it for this world and the next world. Allah (swt) says in the Quran the outer garment protects us and people will recognise you as a Muslim.  The post Why Allah Tells Us What to Wear appeared first on About Islam . from About Islam https://ift.tt/3lmvIGk https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

Accepts Islam a Day after Halloween!

Image
This man accepts Islam a day after Halloween! Now why would someone accept Islam a day after Halloween? This man was out partying with his friends and they were all completely drunk. So a Muslim brother took them to their hotel. On the drive home, this individual started acting very strange as if he was possessed. One of his friends started to have a little fun with this guy who was acting strange. He was a Christian pastor so he decided to play a little Christian rock music but the man just zoned in and out. The Muslim brother decided to play some Quran and as soon as he started to play Quran, the man jumped onto the floor and covered his head with a pillow so he couldn’t hear the Quran any more. The next morning when he gained his consciousness, they shown him the video they took of him that night. He asked the Muslim driver what is this? The Muslim brother said it looks like you were possessed by a jinn so he played the Quran and he startes giving him dawah. SubhanAllah, the man...

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) First to Enter Heaven?

Image
Will Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) be the first to enter heaven? We have been told that Prophet Jesus (PBUH) has been risen up to heaven right now. Also when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was taken to the heavens, he saw other prophets there. There is no contradictions between these statements because Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) will be the first to enter Paradise after the Day of Judgement. The other prophets that have died are in that spiritual world right now. They have been buried in their graves but at the same time their spirits are in paradise. Why Do Muslims Perform Hajj?

Why do Muslims perform Hajj? Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his Companions revered the Kabaa as the original construction of monotheistic practice. In the beginning, they did this with struggle. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) renewed what was originally there. The practice of Islam, worshipping Allah alone. He didn’t bring anything new, this was a practice way before him. In the Quran 22:27-29, Allah tells Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to call the people to Hajj. Ibrahim (AS) left his wife and child in this barren land in the desert, known as Makkah. He would visit them over time. When Ismael became older, Ibrahim visited him and they build the foundations of the Kabaa. He was told to call the people for Hajj. They will come on foot or by camel to witness what is beneficial for them and to remember the name of Allah in the well-known days. Until today we do this! Why Do We Fast?

Image
Why do we fast? Generally we deprive ourselves of something to achieve a greater goal. In Ramadan we receive great blessings for fasting. However, we are doing this for a greater purpose. So what is the great goal we want to achieve when fasting? It is to be mindful of Allah’s presence and to be conscious of Him. The more knowledge we have of Him, the more opportunity we have of getting closer to Him in the way that He wants us to get closer. Fasting is a way to do that. Allah has made fasting obligatory for us. We must understand that Allah doesn’t obligate any harmful acts upon us. So if we do what Allah has commanded us to do then we must understand that it is best for us. You may Also Like to Read: Why Do We Fast? Why do we fast? When we are going through hardships or problems remember this Hadith. If a community were to harm you, they will not harm you except that Allah has written it”.  Whatever happens it is written in our Qadr. We take it as a test from Allah and hope we pass it. Sincerity to God: The Fourth Step on the Journey

Image
“Actions are like statues that only come to life with the spirit of sincerity.” Sincerity is the most important step on the journey. But it comes here after reliance on Allah (SWT), because relying on Allah is important for sincerity. Sincerity is so difficult to attain, you need to do a lot of tawakkul , a lot of reliance on Allah. It is subtle to associate other things, other people with Allah (SWT). It is difficult to achieve a purity of intention when you do things for Allah (SWT). So you need a lot of reliance on Him in order to do that. Sincerity is one of Allah’s secrets that He gives people whom He loves. In the hadith, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that without sincerity you are deprived of a major gift from Allah (SWT). This is the first and most important hadith in Al-Bukhari where the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Actions are according to intentions, and every person will have the reward according to their intentions. (Al-Bukhari) And then the Pr...

How Modesty Strengthens Faith

Image
Along with fear and love of Allah, modesty is a requisite of faith. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made it clear that modesty is part of faith (Muslim). The reference is not to natural bashfulness, which we profess and practice in our mutual relations, but to the modesty that man must practice in his relationship with Allah. If we are not modest in our relationship with Allah, it will undermine modesty in other relationships, resulting in a loss of aesthetic beauty. Modesty has a bearing on human life in a variety of ways and defends man against Satan’s snares. In the following hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) brings out its comprehensive function: It is reported on the authority of `Abdullah ibn Mas`ud that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) observed, “Be of true shyness of Allah.” When those present affirmed that they were modest, he guided them to the real meaning of modesty. According to the hadith, true modesty is: – to be watch...

Seerah for New Converts – 13: Prophet Muhammad Prepares to Move to Madinah

How did Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) convey Islam to Arabia and beyond despite his people’s hostility? How was he able to communicate with neighboring Arab tribes while suffering a near-siege situation in Makkah? One short-term solution was for him to meet pilgrims coming to Makkah from different parts of the Arabian Peninsula. He met six men from Yathrib, and this was the start of first phase of his plan to later on move to Madinah with his followers: Prophet Muhammad Prepares to Move to Madinah The post Seerah for New Converts – 13: Prophet Muhammad Prepares to Move to Madinah appeared first on About Islam . from About Islam https://ift.tt/2Xy0b9g https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
