Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen will bring back its chicken sandwich Nov. 3

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is taking a jab at the competition and bringing back its chicken sandwich on Sunday, Nov. 3, a day when Chick-fil-A is never open.

On Monday, the Miami-based fast food chain issued one of the shortest news releases ever about the return of the chicken sandwich.

It reads, “I’m back.”

But a YouTube video fills in the details.

Popeyes became a pop culture sensation in August when it launched the chicken sandwich, creating long lines of curious customers inside its store and cars at its drive-thrus. Claiming it blew through a two-month inventory in two weeks, it pulled the sandwich off its menu. It has been teasing its return ever since.
