Festival Pass for Thursday, Oct. 31
Happy Halloween! I’m back from my Hawaiian vacation (where I didn’t take any tikis but I did gain some sweet ukulele skills) and we’re rolling right along into the late fall festivals.
This weekend’s big event is part music festival, part mall of the future. It’s ComplexCon, which returns to Long Beach with some cool exclusive merch and performances from Kid Cudi and Anderson .Paak. And now there’s a panel on the fashion of Lil Kim, which is pretty rad, and she’s been added to the lineup.
Other big news this week is that there’s a new fest coming to the Coachella Valley, Countdown NYE tickets are on sale and KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas is on the move. Read on!
Where sneakerheads and hip-hop heads unite
What makes ComplexCon so unique is that it’s kind of like a comic-con with panels and art plus sneakers and other exclusive street wear to buy. And then there’s a killer music lineup to boot. Richard Guzman has more on what you need to know for ComplexCon 2019.
Outside Land Rovers
Have you ever wanted to go to a music festival and learn how to fly fish at the same time? What about doing it in in the desert? The new 4xFAR festival in Thermal is being put on by Land Rover and will have a bunch of outdoors activities as well as music from the omnipresent Anderson .Paak, Young the Giant, Kurt Vile and more. See the full lineup and find out how to get tickets.
Counting down to 2020
Countdown NYE will return to San Bernardino on Dec. 31 and this time the Chainsmokers are going to be there. Alesso and Porter Robinson will, too. Find out who else is performing and how to get tickets.
Acoustic Christmas is on the move
KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas dropped its night 1 lineup earlier this week and while it includes Beck, Cage the Elephant and more, also of note is that it’s moving to Orange County. Kelli Skye Fadroski has more on the lineup, tickets and the move.
