Andy Thomas returns to Laguna Beach as boys soccer coach

Andy Thomas has returned to Laguna Beach High as its boys soccer coach.

Thomas coached the Breakers from 1997 to 2004. They won three CIF-Southern Section championships during his tenure. Thomas also has coached at Mater Dei.

He replaces Daniel Richards, who coached Laguna Beach for nine seasons. Richards for much of the same time has been an assistant soccer coach at Cal Poly Pomona where he will continue as an assistant coach.
